Frilling Modelling Tool

What does a Frilling Modelling Tool do?

When rolling the tool over fondant/sugar paste/gum paste it can thin out the edge and create a frill look. They come in slightly different lengths and thicknesses which could change the frill technique slightly. The frilling tool can also be made from different materials such as plastic, wood or metal.

Have I used the Frilling Modelling Tool ? Do I need it?

I do own a couple of the frilling tools. They are from different brands or ones that came in a set with other tools. If I am making a frill these tools certainly get taken out of my toolbox because they help to get the job done faster.

Do I use it every day?

I don’t use it every day as sugar flowers and fondant work isn’t so popular at the moment. But I do use it every time I make flowers, characters and other sugar decorations.
