Petal Mat With 5 Holes

Sharing is caring!

Petal Mat With 5 Holes

Name of the mystery tool

Petal Mat With 5 Holes

What does a Petal Mat With 5 Holes do?

It can hold a piping nail, when making sugar decorations the holes helps to make the flower shape and a thicker part of the flower to attach a wire to the base. The flat part is good for getting a frill on the edge of the sugar decorations or help to make the decoration curl and have a 3-dimensional look instead of being flat.

Have I used the Petal Mat With 5 Holes? Do I need it?

I do own one of these mats and when making sugar decorations I will use it.

Do I use it every day?

I don’t use it every day as sugar flowers and fondant work isn’t so popular at the moment. But I do use it every time I make flowers, characters and other sugar decorations.
